— What are the differences between the Studio and Freelancer subscription plans?
We have one plan for companies — Studio Annual, and two plans for individuals: Freelancer Monthly and Annual.
The Studio subscription is designed to work with our floating license server, it can also be purchased by individuals in case they want to use the license server.
The Freelancer plans are designed for individual artists. These subscriptions can only be purchased by individuals for their personal use. They allow freelancer-like commercial work and are not limited in any functional way except that they can only be used on a single machine (like a node-locked license) by an individual that purchased it for themselves.— Which plan should I choose?
If you're purchasing a subscription for a company, the answer is simple — the Studio Annual subscription is what we have for you.
If you're an individual user, it depends on how often you plan using our products, and based on your usage patters you can choose between the Freelancer Annual and Monthly subscriptions.— How to start using a product with a subscription?
You need to:
1) Purchase a subscription, an account will be created and you'll receive an email with the account set up link.
2) Set up you account and log in to User Portal website
3) Copy the license key of your new product
4) Paste it in the license key field in the plug-in and press the Activate button.— Where are my license keys?

— Do I need to create an account on User Portal before making a purchase?
No, your account is created when you buy any subscription for the first time. The email you submit for the purchase will be used. Check your inbox for a message with the link to complete your account registration.
— I bought a license before subscriptions were introduced. Can I find it on the User Portal?
No. The user portal is made for managing subscriptions and provides no access to the old licenses. Your account will be created when you purchase any subscription for the first time.
Old license keys were sent in emails, so if you lost the email, please just drop us a message, we'll send it again.— What is a license key and what is a subscription plan, how it all works?
To use some of our products you need a license key for this product. A subscription is basically a contract between you and KeenTools, meaning that for the annual or monthly fee you can use our products. The fee will be charged automatically in the beginning of each term — a month or a year. Each subscription is linked to a user and their payment method, the product, the plan and the quantity of license keys. We have 3 products and 3 plans for each of them, when you choose a subscription you chose one of each, for example GeoTracker as a product and Studio Annual as a plan, then you enter the quantity of license keys that will be linked to this subscription. If you're a sole freelancer, you usually need just one license key. If you work for a studio where 5 people want to use the same product at the same time, it means that you probably need 5 license keys.
— Is there a bundle license for all products?
Not at the moment, but possibly in future!
— I see a ‘License file version mismatch’ error when installing the FaceBuilder + FaceTracker key
FaceBuilder + FaceTracker 'universal keys' are only compatible with the versions of plug-ins and License Server starting from 2022.3.0. Please make sure they all are up-to-date.
— Can a company purchase/use a freelancer plan?
No, the only plan that a company can purchase is Studio Annual.
— Can a company reimburse my Freelancer subscription?
No, the only plan that a company can purchase is Studio Annual.
— Can I use my Freelancer plan on multiple machines?
No, the Freelancer plan can be installed to a single machine only.
— Can I transfer the license keys from one machine to another?
Yes, you need to re-install them on a new machine — they will be deactivated on the old machine. Same applies to the license server.
— Can I use your products offline? Do I need the Internet connection to use your products?
You can use them offline. But it'll be more convenient to have the connection, of course. If you prefer working offline, you can download license key files from the Subscriptions page in User Portal.
By the way, if you're afraid that we will track you or steal some personal data — we don't practice such things! What our plugins do with the Internet connection is just two things: checking for updates and notifying you about them in a gentle way, checking that your subscription is fine.— Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, you can cancel it anytime and then your subscription will be deactivated on the day of the next planned payment.
— Will I lose my projects if I cancel subscription?
No way! You will still be able to open your old projects, export the results, etc. What will be missing — is only the ability to make changes in our plugins, but not in the entire project of course. Your projects will always remain yours and you will be able to use everything you've got as long as you wish.
— What payment methods are accepted?
Cards and PayPal.
— Can I pay with a wire transfer?

— Do I need more than one license key if I use one product in 2+ host programs, like Nuke and Blender for example?
No, our licenses work for all hosts.
— Do you have discounts for educational purposes, classes, schools, universities, students, non-commercial researchers?
