To be honest, this update was initially planned as a purely maintenance patch (which is why we didn’t bump the minor version number). But as we kept assembling it, more useful fixes and improvements found their way in. So while the release number remains 2026.3.1, the update itself looks pretty solid for a minor release!
If you want a quick visual overview, this short What’s New video breaks down everything that changed.
Here’s the thing: Houdini 22 came out just days before our stable release of GeoTracker for Houdini. We couldn't leave it like that, so 2026.3.1 brings full support for SideFX's latest release. If you’ve already upgraded to Houdini 22, your matchmoving workflow is now completely ready to go too!
And another piece of good news: we’re extending our 50% Early Adopter discount until September 4, 2026. Use code GTH50-EA at checkout to get 50% off your first year of a Studio or Freelancer Annual subscription.
This is an improvement many of you have been asking about for a while! In this release, we’ve updated how CenterGeo works across all GeoTrackers in Nuke, Blender, After Effects, and Houdini.
Clicking the CenterGeo button now reliably places any geometry (including flat planes and open meshes) directly in front of the camera view, creating a much better starting point for your initial alignment. We believe this makes the whole pinning setup much smoother and faster.
For Nuke artists, we fixed scale issues and improved how user tracks are handled in both GeoTracker and FaceTracker.
Also, we’ve made various minor stability tweaks in our plug-ins across all hosts: Nuke, Blender, After Effects, and Houdini. Finally, we’ve updated our EULA and Privacy Policy.
And a quick heads-up: if you missed our previous major release, please take a look at the KeenTools 2026.3 announcement about updated pricing, the new FullBundle, and other licensing changes.
